Cllr Dakers is calling on Travelodge and Premier Inn to replace the Kew branding of their hotels with Brentford
Lib Dem Brentford Ward Councillor Andrew Dakers has today revealed that he is corresponding with the Chief Executives of both Travelodge and Premier Inn urging them to rebrand their local hotels as Brentford not Kew. Many local residents have expressed their disappointed to the councillor over the years at how these businesses have shunned the name of the place in which they are operating. Cllr Dakers is arguing to the hotel CEOs that as the home to Brentford FC, GSK, Brompton Bicycles - and with an extraordinary heritage - Brentford is a place the hotel chains should be proud to have invested.
Cllr Andrew Dakers, Lib Dem Prospective MP for Brentford & Isleworth Constituency, said:
"Along with other local residents I have been disappointed to see Travelodge and Premier Inn carrying Kew not Brentford branding since they opened a few years ago. Perhaps someone at head office got confused with their geography?
"Brentford is a place with an extraordinary heritage. Today we are the home to Brentford FC, GSK and Brompton Bicycles amongst many other fantastic businesses and organisations. All of these businesses provide custom to these two hotels.
"Brentford is a place in which Travelodge and Premier Inn should be proud to be invested and it is time that the Kew branding was dropped."
