Andrew Dakers, Lib Dem Prospective MP for the Brentford & Isleworth Constituency
Councillor Andrew Dakers, the Lib Dem prospective MP for the Brentford and Isleworth constituency, is inviting members of the public to send in suggestions for his first question to the Prime Minister should he be elected as the constituencies new MP.
Cllr Dakers, Lib Dem prospective MP for the Brentford and Isleworth constituency, says:
"If I am elected one of the questions sent in by local people will be selected for my first question to the Prime Minister in Prime Ministers Questions (PMQs). It could be anything from the local to the global.
"Suggestions should be texted to 07788 116159 or emailed to hi@andrewdakers.com by midnight on Friday 30 April.
"The most common five questions will then feature in a poll on www.andrewdakers.com through to election day - 6 May- when the most popular question will be announced.
"I am making no assumptions about the result of the election: the voters will decide. What I am saying is that if I am elected I would introduce a new type of relationship between the constituency's MP and local people. Actively encouraging voters to propose questions that I ask in parliamentary questions would be a first step. My priority is to be accessible to voters and be their voice in parliament."
"If I am elected this is the first of many changes I would introduce to ensure that my parliamentary activities would reflect the needs and interests of voters in Chiswick, Brentford, Hounslow, Isleworth, Gunnersbury and Osterley."
NOTES TO EDITORS
